Targeting Marketable Topics and Titles


Speakers are actually in the information business.  As you develop your subject, study it, write articles about it, and come to new conclusions, your body of knowledge becomes more valuable and salable in many other formats.  You can create videos, audio albums, workbooks, consulting sessions, CD ROMs, training materials, reports, calendars, posters, T-shirts, hats and even toys based on your expertise.  These products are the valuable offshoots of the body of knowledge in your speeches.  They not only add significantly to your speaker's income, but are also reminders that leave a trail that prospects follow back to you. Sales of speaker products can do more than boost your level of income.  Creating excellent products also add credibility and prestige to your position as an expert.  You're much easier to publicize when you are the author of professional products. Product is cited over and over by every successful speaker we know as one of the best marketing tools and sources of income for your speaking career.Studies that people only absorb and remember ten percent of most presentations.  We learn best through repetition.  Products provide that repetition and help attendees retain the knowledge you give them.  They can continue learning from and enjoy your expertise - at work, at home, while driving in their cars, as they jog, etc.
